Sustainability Committee
On October 1, 2025 the British Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce launched its Sustainability Committee in Sofia.
The Chairman of BBCC Mrs. Kamelia Slaveikova and the member of the Management Board Mr. Martin Dimitrov presented the purpose of the new Sustainability Committee at the BBCC. Namely this is to disseminate good practices and facilitate the members of the BBCC in making sense of the ESG agenda. Mrs. Slaveikova emphasized that the main goal the Sustainability Committee is to help its members add value to their respective businesses through ESG.
Sirma Group Holding JSC is a long-standing member of the BBCC. At the launch of the Sustainability Committee, Sirma was represented by its Investor Relations and Sustainability Director Mr. Stanislav Tanushev. Mr. Tanushev presented to the new Committee the good practices of Sirma in applying ESG throughout its business and making it a part of its operational strategy.

Working Groups
After the launch of the Sustainability Committee, four working groups were set up within it:
· AI in ESG – with a focus on potential, risks, and opportunities of AI in ESG;
· Legislation& OMNIBUS – with a focus on adaptation and preparation of the members of the BBCC to upcoming ESG legislation;
· What works and what doesn’t work in Bulgaria – collecting the Bulgarian best practices &challenges;
· Access to financing – focusing on grants, investments, and funding sources which are linked to ESG.

It enjoys the full support from the British Embassy, and its mission is to promote business relations between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Bulgaria.
